Hi! My name’s Araminta Stuart (Or Minty) and I’m 17 years old.

I have a real love of filmmaking, and a lot of passion for it. One of my biggest inspirations is The Lord Of The Rings. I watched it for the first time at 14 and it changed my world. It opened my eyes to the film industry, and made me want to do nothing but make films.
Another massive inspiration for me is the director Michael Schur. His shows The Good Place and Man On The Inside have shown me what true skill in writing is, he’s able to make you laugh one moment, and cry the next.
It’s one of my biggest goals to direct a feature film, and I’m willing to work as hard as needed to achieve that dream.

Two of my short films were nominated for awards, and my film Tipping Point won in the category of ‘Time For Action’. Since then I’ve been interviewed on various news stations about my film award including Sky News.
I’ve been homeschooled since the age of 7, my dad is a full time filmmaker and I’ve learned a lot of what I know about films from him. I’ve also done various online courses on websites like Domestika, on topics such as editing, sotryboarding, creative drawing, painting, model making, colour grading, script writing, sewing, portraiture, drawing from imagination, creative direction, and camera movement.

I’ve worked part time for my dad’s company, Rocketland Ltd, for over 4 years, filling many positions with different responsibilities, such as setting up lighting and tripods, editing, colour grading, storyboarding, and photography, involving working closely with clients in all aspects of production. On some smaller projects I’ve been tasked with everything from concept, lighting, filming with a BlackMagic Cinema camera, editing, and delivering the projects.

I’m also the content creator at our church, which currently has a congregation of over 300. Every week I solo produce a polished Instagram Reel about our church, filming on a BlackMagic Cinema Camera and editing in Davinci Resolve Studio. Starting in September I’ll be interning in !Audacious Church’s Media department, working with professional filmmakers and Cinematographers

I’ve been an artist since I was 12, and since I started painting I’ve taught myself portraiture through painting well over 40 portraits, in a challenge I set myself to paint 50 portrsits. I practice various mediums of art, including digital, acrylic, pencil, watercolour and model making.
I’ve had 3 paintings for sale in the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art.

I’m interested and involved in all other aspects of the entertainment industry, I’ve sang solo to over 1000 people in a day, and performed In Easter Show School Tours to over 1500 school children all over Manchester. A choir I perform in, Soul Children, performed to over 3000 people in December 2024, and performed at the Spektrum Arena Oslo in Norway in June 2025.
